The Need

The Alternative Investment Forum (“AIF”) was formed to address the need that “mid-market”, alternative investment opportunities are orphaned in the capital marketplace.  They are too big for the typical angel capital investor, yet they are too small for the investment banking or private equity fund communities. Further since they do not have enough EBITDA, a strong balance sheet or the market longevity, other forms of financing can be difficult to secure.

Likewise, high net-worth investors and organizations, wealth advisors, family offices and smaller private equity firms find it difficult to identify attractive, non-startup, direct participation investment opportunities in alternative investment areas. There is no network other than “word of mouth” or “one-on-one” meetings to identify these opportunities.

Recognizing this challenge, AIF is presenting an investment forum for qualified investors to learn about direct investment opportunities in high quality companies and projects.
